Walking south from the lobby of the Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center will take you through a hallway featuring team photos from each of the Foresters' conference titles, beginning with the 1947 College Conference of Illinois championship men's golf team.
Lake Forest left the CCI in 1963 and joined what is now the Midwest Conference in 1974 (the Midwest Collegiate Athletic Conference and Midwest Athletic Conference for Women merged in 1994). The men's and women's hockey teams compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, the men's and women's golf teams moved to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2019, and the men's and women's lacrosse teams initially played in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference and before transitioning to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
Lake Forest teams captured at least one league title 22 academic years in a row from 1985 to 2007 and a nine-year streak ended in 2020. At least three additional entries to the list have been made in each of the last four years (2021-25).
In addition to the 109 conference titles listed below, Lake Forest has earned 51 national championships in handball and those team photos can be found just outside the courts on the lower level of the Sports and Recreation Center.
