After clinching at least a share of its second straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference championship on Saturday, the Lake Forest College women's lacrosse team claimed the title outright with a 22-5 victory over Illinois Institute of Technology on Tuesday.
Four Foresters had at least four goals in the contest with freshman
Audrey Kroeger's five leading the way. She also added an assist.
Seniors
Shannon Gibbons and
Emma Sharp and sophomore
Avery Srnka each struck four times on the day. Sharp added four assists and is now just 19 points shy of the program's career record of 302. Gibbons had three assists for a career-high seven points and chipped in with three ground balls, three draw controls, and a game-high five caused turnovers.
Freshmen

Gracia Muñoz also contributed at the offensive end of the field, combining for three goals and four assists.
Senior
Claire Aimone matched Gibbons with three ground balls and junior
Ella Maher with three draw controls. Both were team-high totals.
Sophomore
Cy Nash was in goal for the home team and her nine saves were a career high.
Illinois Tech actually scored the first goal of the game but the Foresters accounted for the next five and led 6-2 at the end of the first quarter. They outscored their guests 8-2 in the second, resulting in a running clock before halftime. Lake Forest continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Scarlet Hawks 8-1 in the final 30 minutes.
The Foresters improved to 11-4 overall this season and finished 9-0 in league play for the second time in as many years as a member of the NACC. Illinois Tech's season ended at 5-12 overall and 3-6 in the conference.
Lake Forest will have a bye in the quarterfinal round of the NACC Tournament and will host a semifinal game next Wednesday.Â
