The Lake Forest College women's soccer team made Senior Day one to remember, defeating Grinnell 3–0 on Saturday at Farwell Field to remain unbeaten and officially clinch the Midwest Conference title. The Foresters improved to 17–0–0 overall and 7–0–0 in conference play, marking another historic milestone in their dominant season.
Senior Anna Gracia opened the scoring in the 35th minute, finding the back of the net off a setup from sophomore Maggie Balas to give Lake Forest the early edge. In the second half, the Foresters kept pressing, with senior Anna Hoffman doubling the lead in the 64th minute on an assist from sophomore Annabelle Schroeder. Just five minutes later, Schroeder added a goal of her own, again assisted by Balas, who recorded two assists in a standout playmaking performance.
Lake Forest controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Grinnell 13–0 and earning eight corner kicks while not allowing a single shot on goal. The back line of junior Gianna Logue, freshman Veronica Presberg, junior Lola Halsband, and senior Theresa Presberg anchored a flawless defensive effort, while senior goalkeepers Greta Norvilleand Joanna Aslanides combined for the shutout.
With the win, the Foresters secured the Midwest Conference regular-season championship and will head into next weekend's regular-season finale at Monmouth College before entering the Midwest Conference Tournament as the top overall seed.
