Foresters Roll at Illinois Tech, Finish Off Debut Regular Season in NACC with Perfect League Record

After clinching at least a share of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference championship in its first season in the league on Saturday, the Lake Forest College women's lacrosse team secured the title outright with a record-setting 28-3 victory at Illinois Institute of Technology on Wednesday.

It was the highest-scoring performance in four-year history of the program, senior Jenna Doctor broke her own single-game school record with 10 goals, and junior Emma Sharp's 14 points on the day were also the most by a Forester. Her nine assists and the team's 18 tied the marks set on April 5 at Lawrence.

Doctor started the scoring just 12 seconds into the contest and Lake Forest added 10 more goals, including four from Doctor, by the end of the first quarter. The nation's third-leading scorer going into the game netted the first goal of the second quarter and struck twice in the third to match the program record she already owned. Two more tallies early in the fourth made her the first player in team history and the 16th in NCAA Division III this season to reach double figures.

Sharp scored one goal and set up four in the first period and added another score and three assists in the second. Her 10th point of the contest came on a goal in the third period and she tacked on two goals and two assists in the first seven minutes of the fourth. Sharp, who entered the day ranked fifth in the country in assists and sixth in points, also broke the single-season school record on her final assist of the game and 65th this year.

Freshman Avery Srnka, who had two goals this season before Wednesday, scored three times and two-goal performances came from senior Ashley Carr, junior Shannon Gibbons, and sophomore Eva Russell. Four other players on the team added one score apiece.

Lake Forest secured 24 of the game's 33 draw controls with senior Abby Meyer earning 10, one shy of the program record. Senior Krissy Kuwahara led all players in the contest with seven ground balls and added a pair of caused turnovers.

Forester senior Calliope Saban was in goal until the middle of the third quarter and allowed just one goal during that span. Freshman Cy Nash recorded the visitors' only save of the day during the final 22:12.

Lake Forest completed the regular season 12-4 overall and 9-0 in NACC play while Illinois Tech's finished 2025 with an overall record of 2-14 and a league mark of 1-8.

The Foresters will have a bye in Saturday's quarterfinal round ot the NACC Tournament and will host a semifinal match-up next Wednesday afternoon at 2:00.
