Lisa Nassin grew up in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and attended Evergreen Park High School, where she was a two-time all-conference and all-area basketball player and the team’s Most Valuable Player.

Nassin entered Lake Forest College in 2006 and helped the women’s basketball team capture a Midwest Conference championship and advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament that winter. After earning the team’s Most Improved Player award as a freshman, she was voted its Most Valuable Player and First Team All-MWC as a junior and senior. Nassin was just the fifth player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points and finished with 1,090. Her career field goal percentage of .574 was still a team record at the time of her induction and she also owned two of the Foresters’ top three single-season marks in that category, as well as the single-game record with a 15-for-16 performance at Carroll University during her junior year. Nassin’s 51 career blocked shots, 314 made free throws, and 388 made field goals also ranked among the program leaders, as did many of her season and game marks in numerous categories. Lake Forest was 72-27 overall and 49-15 for an impressive .766 winning percentage in conference play during her four years at the College.

A double major in education and business, Nassin graduated from Lake Forest College in 2010 and began a career in teaching, first at the elementary level and later with at-risk high school students.
