Monday was day two of three at the 2025 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament and Lake Forest College remained in second place.
The gap above and below the Foresters widened on Monday and, with a two-round score of 645 (+69), the team is 39 shots behind tournament leader Grinnell College and 17 ahead of third-place Mississippi University for Women. Illinois College is fourth at 685. Lake Forest's day two score of 317 and the Foresters' 36-hole total of 645 each rank seventh in school history.
Senior
Gabrielle Krebs led Lake Forest for the second day in a row. She turned in a pair of birdies on her way to a round of 78 on the 5,617-yard, par-72 course at Birch Creek Golf Club in Union, Missouri. She is tied for third place overall with a score of 154 (+10), which matches the program's fifth-best two-round total.
Each of the other four players in the Forester lineup had at least one birdie in round two and were within three strokes of Krebs on the day. Sophomore
Libby Hearst is now tied-for-ninth in the 50-player field at 162, freshman
Sophie Smith is tied-for-11th at 164, senior
Alijah Campbell is 13th at 166, and senior
Sydney Foulon is tied-for-14th at 167.
Ashlyn Bhatia, another Lake Forest senior, is competing as an individual and is currently 21st with a score of 175.
There will be a shotgun start for the third and final round Tuesday morning with all nine teams teeing off at 9:00.
