The Lake Forest College women's golf team placed third at the three-day Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships, which concluded on Monday.

The Foresters began the final round a stroke behind Marian University for second place. The teams went back-and-forth all day and the runner-up Sabres' were two shots better on the day. Aurora University was the team champion with a final tally of 892 while Marian was at 949. Lake Forest's 952 is the second-lowest 54-hole total in team history while Monday's 317 matched the program's 10th-best round. St. Norbert College was fourth in the field at 970.

Paulina Molteni Posada and Libby Hearst earned All-NACC honors by placing in the top 10. Hearst was the Foresters' top player on Monday with a 4-over 76 and her final score of 237 (+21) ranked 10 out of 57 players in the tournament. Molteni Posada carded a 78 in round three but was a shot better than Hearst and tied for eighth at the event. Molteni Posada's 236 tied Hearst's score from last year's conference meet as the program's third-lowest 54-hole mark while Hearst's 2026 total ranks fifth in team annals.

Lake Forest also had three more players finish just outside the top 10 at the event, including Sophie Smith, whose 80 on Monday gave her the seventh-best three-day score in school history at 239. She placed 11th overall while Amanda Adley was tied-for-14th at 243 and Eva Kennedy 17th at 245.

The 2026-27 season is the Foresters' first as a member of the NACC. They spent the last seven in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the program's first five years in the Midwest Conference. The team has now placed among the top three in its league in 10 of 13 seasons.
