The Lake Forest College men's tennis team began the 2022-23 season at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Warhawk Fall Invite on Friday and Saturday.

Four Foresters posted opening round victories to advance to the semifinals of their respective brackets. Sophomore Kyle Lassen took both sets 6-1 in the #4 singles division while junior Eduardo Manuitt prevailed 6-4, 6-0 at #5. The other two advanced thanks to a super tiebreaker victory. Freshman Ian Villardi Venturini Barbosa triumphed 2-6, 6-3, (10-4) in the #3 singles bracket and sophomore Alec Nissen earned a 6-4, 4-6, (10-3) victory at #6.

Lake Forest sophomores Daniel Tulchinskiy and Anele Mayiga won the consolation brackets at #3 and #6 singles and Mayiga also accomplished that feat at #3 doubles with Nissen.

The brief fall portion of the Foresters' 2022-23 schedule will continue with a dual match against Milwaukee School of Engineering next Sunday and the ITA Regional Tournament in St. Louis starting on September 23.
