Box Score The Lake Forest College men's tennis team kicked off the 2026-27 season by competing in the Warhawk Fall Invite at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday and Saturday.

The Forester who found the most success at the event was Daniel Fotiev, who won the sixth flight in singles and was the runner-up with freshman Dikshan Chhikara in the third flight of doubles. Fotiev came out on top 6-2, 6-3 in the singles quarterfinal, prevailed 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals, and matched his quarterfinal score in the final. Fotiev and Chhikara edged out their quarterfinal and semifinal opponents by the same 6-4 score before falling 6-3 in the final.

Two of Lake Forest's other three doubles team prevailed in their first match. Felipe Moraes and Rodrigo Cunha doubled up their foes 6-3 in the top bracket while Zeke Bisharat and Felipe Vazsonyi blanked their counterparts 6-0 to begin play in the second flight. Bisharat and Vazsonyi added a 7-5 victory in the bracket's third-place match.

In addition to Fotiev's three triumphs in singles, six different Foresters added to the team's victory total. Bisharat (2nd flight), Chhikara (4th), and Vazsonyi (5th) earned wins in the quarterfinal round while Moraes (1st) and Tim Pasea (4th) dropped their opening matches before coming out on top in their second.

Lake Forest will play its only dual match of the fall semester at Milwaukee School of Engineering Thursday evening at 6:00.
