7/15/2026 1:42:00 PM

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2025-26 Division III All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes on Wednesday and the lists included the Forester men's team and seven of its members.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Lake Forest also earned the award each of the last four years and in 2018 and 2013.

Individuals must record a grade point average of at least 3.5 for an entire academic year to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. Forester seniors George Ciuca and Ian Villardi made the list for the fourth year in a row while junior Daniel Fotiev and sophomores Joao Espindola and Felipe Moraes are now two-time honorees. They are joined on the list by junior Rodrigo Cunha and freshman Zeke Bisharat. The program has now had 38 honorees in the last seven years and 52 since 2012.

More than 1,100 Division III men were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 147 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
