The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was swept 9-0 at Carthage College Saturday afternoon in the Foresters' first match of the spring semester.

The match was played at LifeSport Tennis Club in Racine, Wisconsin.

The closest matches came at the top of the lineup. Junior Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk and sophomore Daniel Tulchinskiy dropped an 8-5 decision at #1 doubles and Vyshyvanyuk was edged out 6-3, 4-6, (10-5) at #1 singles.

The loss evened the Foresters' 2021-22 record at 1-1 while Carthage improved to 3-0.

Lake Forest will travel to XS Tennis Village in Chicago next Sunday for a dual match against Illinois Institute of Technology at 5:00 p.m.
