Junior Chase Garber and freshman Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk were the runners-up at the Forester Doubles Invite on Sunday.

Garber and Vyshyvanyuk posted an 8-1 victory in the quarterfinals before edging out their semifinal opponents 8-7 (7-3). They were finally defeated 8-3 in the championship match.

Lake Forest senior Brandon Berish and junior Brant Christensen also reached the semifinals in the main draw after prevailing 8-0 in round one and 8-2 in the quarterfinals. Junior Aidan Burke and freshman Jacob Tilton won 8-3 in the opening round to give the Foresters three teams in the quarterfinals. They also recorded a pair of triumphs before winning one of the backdraws by walkover.

Junior Oliver Gallego and sophomore Zach Cho came out on top of an 8-5 decision in the quarterfinals before falling in the semifinals of the other backdraw.

The Foresters' only other competition of the fall semester is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament October 4-6 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
