Men's tennis player Trevor Allen was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance during the team's first three matches of their Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida.

Allen, a freshman playing at #2 singles and doubles, won five of his six matches during the three contests, beginning with an 8-2 triumph with senior John Snider in doubles against Oglethorpe University on Monday. He was defeated in a third set super tiebreaker in singles as the Foresters fell 6-3.

Lake Forest swept Wittenberg University 9-0 on Tuesday. Allen and junior Ellis Lora-Arceo teamed up for an 8-2 triumph in doubles and Allen came out on top of a 6-3, 4-6, (10-3) decision in singles.

The Foresters won again on Wednesday, defeating Juniata College 8-1. Allen and Lora-Arceo prevailed 8-3 in doubles and Allen did not lose a game in his 6-0, 6-0 singles win.

After taking five of six matches on the trip, Allen is now 12-7 in singles and doubles combined this season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
