Despite the calendar showing January, the Lake Forest College men's tennis team began its spring season with a 9-0 loss at Cardinal Stritch University on Saturday.

The contest's closest match was at #2 doubles, where sophomore Dragan Trivanovic and freshman Nick Rehm were edged out 8-5.

It was the first collegiate dual match for Rehm and fellow freshman Dan Pivonka, who played at the top of both the doubles and singles lineups.

The Foresters will be in action again next Saturday at the Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Lake Forest will take on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 3:00 p.m. and host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 6:00.
