The Forester men's tennis team was defeated 5-4 at the University of Texas-Dallas on Tuesday and is now 4-3 on the season. Lake Forest junior Elliot Muth and sophomore John Adams posted victories in both singles and doubles play.

Muth and Adams edged out their opponents 8-6 at the top spot in the doubles lineup. The Comets, however, won by the same score at #2 and 8-4 at #3.

Muth dropped the first set at #2 singles 6-2 but rebounded to win the second set 6-0 and the third-set tiebreaker 10-4. Adams prevailed 6-2 in both sets at #3 and senior Jon Flaksman won 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at #4.

Lake Forest is now 4-3 overall this season and 1-2 on its Spring Break trip. Texas-Dallas raised its mark to 6-2.

The Foresters will play at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Thursday afternoon at 2:00.
