Box Score The Forester men's tennis team hosted and defeated Aurora
University 8-1 on Tuesday (April 13) and is now 14-5 on the season.
The Spartans fell to 0-5.
The Foresters started the match with victories at all three doubles
positions. Juniors Jon Flaksman (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North)
and Elliot Muth (New York, N.Y./Hill School) won 8-3 at #1 and
senior Joe Campagna (Elmwood Park, Ill./Fenwick) and junior Chris Paterakos (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) routed their opponents 8-1 at
#2. Sophomore Tommy White (Cherry Hills Village, Colo./Cherry
Creek) partnered with freshman Sebastian di Clemente (Tinley Park,
Ill./Tinley Park) for the first time and they prevailed 8-3 at
#3.
Flaksman climbed back over the .500 mark (10-9) for the season at
#1 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory and Muth triumphed 6-0, 6-1 at
#2 to raise his record on the year to 13-4. Freshman John Adams
(Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) won his team-high 16th
singles match of the year (against three losses), a 6-0, 6-0
decision, and Campagna's 6-1, 6-0 win at #4 gave him an 11-6 mark.
Sophomore Rohit Verma (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale South) made his
season debut and prevailed 6-3, 6-4 at #6.
Lake Forest will host Milwaukee School of Engineering Thursday
(April 15) at 4:00 p.m.
