Box Score 2 The Forester men's tennis team split a pair of matches at Wabash
College on Saturday (March 20), defeating Manchester College 9-0
before dropping a 6-3 decision to the hosts. Lake Forest is now 7-2
on the season. Manchester fell to 0-2 this spring while Wabash
raised its record to 11-5.
The Foresters won all three doubles matches against Manchester.
Juniors Jon Flaksman
(Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) and Elliot Muth
(New York, N.Y./Hill School) posted an 8-1 victory at #1 and senior

Campagna (Elmwood Park, Ill./Fenwick) and junior Chris
Paterakos (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) prevailed by the same
score at #2. Freshmen John Adams
(Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) and Kevin Lasky
(Piedmont, Calif./Piedmont) combined to blank their opponents 8-0
at #3.
Flaksman won 6-3, 6-1 at the top spot in the singles lineup and
Muth registered a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at #2. Adams and sophomore Nick
Cantor (Providence, R.I./Wheeler School) were victorious 6-1,
6-1 at #3 and #6, respectively, while Campagna (#4) and Paterakos
(#5) did not surrender a game.
Lake Forest won by a slim margin at each of the top two doubles
positions against Wabash. Flaksman and Muth prevailed 8-6 and
Campagna and Paterakos won 9-7 at #2.
Adams was the only Forester to win in singles, defeating his
opponent 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) at #3.
The team will travel to Albion College in Michigan for a pair of
matches next Saturday afternoon (March 27). Lake Forest will take
on Alma College at 1:00 (EST) and the hosts at 4:00 (EST).
