Box Score The Lake Forest College men's tennis team raised its record on
the season to 6-1 by defeating Colby-Sawyer College 8-1 Wednesday
evening (March 10). The Chargers fell to 1-5.
The Foresters won two of the contest's three doubles matches.
Senior Joe Campagna
(Elmwood Park, Ill./Fenwick) teamed with junior Chris
Paterakos (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) on an 8-1 triumph at #2
and freshmen John Adams
(Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) and Kevin Lasky
(Piedmont, Calif./Piedmont) blanked their opponents 8-0 at #3.
The doubles victory for Campagna was the team record 49th of his
career, surpassing the mark set by Andrew Fretter last year.
Lake Forest took all six singles matches, including a hard-fought
6-1, 3-6, (11-9) triumph by junior Jon Flaksman
(Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) at the top spot in the lineup.
Classmate Elliot Muth
(New York, N.Y./Hill School) was also victorious by a 6-3, 6-1
score at #2 and Adams won 6-1, 6-2 at #3. Campagna and Paterakos
prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at #4 and #5, respectively, and sophomore Nick
Cantor (Providence, R.I./Wheeler School) defeated his opponent
7-5 in the first set and 6-0 in the second at #6.
The Foresters will take on Le Moyne College at 8:00 (EST) tomorrow
morning before finishing their Spring Break trip against St.
Joseph's College at 12:30 (EST) Friday afternoon.
