The Lake Forest College women's golf team began 2026-27 by tying for eighth place at Wednesday's Judson Invite. The event was played on the 6,044-yard, par-72 course at Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley, Illinois.

Sophie Smith was the Foresters' top finisher and her 84 was also tied-for-10th in the field of 76 competitors.

Paulina Molteni Posada made her collegiate debut on Tuesday and carded an 87. She matched teammate Eva Kennedy for 18th place overall while Natalie Meler completed Lake Forest's top four with a 97.

Judson won the team competition with a final score of 335, which was five strokes better than runner-up Rock Valley College. The Foresters' 355 was tied with Carthage College for eighth place.

The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is Carthage's Firebird Fall Invite on Friday and Saturday. Round one at Countryside Golf Club in Mundelein, Illinois, is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. while Saturday's play at Ives Grove Golf Links will start at noon.
