The Lake Forest College women's golf team competed in the Benedictine Fall Invite on Wednesday and returned home with a ninth-place finish at the 17-team event.

Aurora University was the team champion with a final score of 292 (+4). The Foresters' 346 had them five shots back of Rock Valley College in eighth place and 13 ahead of Edgewood University in 10th.

Eva Kennedy was Lake Forest's top player with an 8-over 80. She tied for 16th place in the 105-player field after carding a birdie and nine pars on the day.

Paulina Molteni Posada was next on the squad and tied-for-28th overall with an 83 to match her team-best scoring average so far this season. Sophie Smith tied for 36th with an 87 and Natalie Meler rounded out the Foresters' top four with a 96.

The event was played on the 5,739-yard, par-72 course at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois. That will also be the site of the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament October 3-5.

Lake Forest's next competition will be the Edgewood Fall Invite on Sunday and Monday.
