The Lake Forest College women's golf team finished first by a single stroke in Friday's WLC Invitational. The event was hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin.

The Foresters' final score of 342 edged out runner-up Carroll University by one and third-place Milwaukee School of Engineering by three. Wheaton College (353) and Wisconsin Lutheran (394) rounded out the team standings.

The top player for the Foresters on Friday was Eva Kennedy, who placed fourth out of 29 players overall with a 10-over 82. She recorded birdies on the 9th and 15th holes. Paulina Molteni Posada was tied for fifth just a shot behind Kennedy and also carded two birdies.

Sophie Smith's 87 was good for ninth place and Amanda Adley was fourth on the squad and tied-for-12th overall with a 90. Natalie Meler, meanwhile, finished precisely in the middle of the field in 15th with a career-best-tying round of 93.

Lake Forest will be back in action on Saturday at the MSOE Invite, which will be played at Currie Park Golf Course in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
