The Midwest Conference announced its end-of-season awards for men's tennis on Wednesday and four Foresters were among the honorees.

Headlining the group was sophomore Felipe Moraes, who was named All-MWC in singles and doubles for the second year in a row and was selected by league coaches as the 2026 MWC Player of the Year. Moraes won all four of his #1 singles matches and went 5-1 atop the doubles lineup against league foes during the regular season before adding victories in both singles and doubles during the Foresters' 4-3 triumph over Grinnell College in the MWC Team Tournament final last Friday. Two more doubles wins during the MWC Individual Tournament raised his overall record this season to 37-12.

Earning All-MWC honors in singles and doubles for the third year in a row was Forester junior Bernardo Aguiar. He was 2-1 at #2 singles and 5-1 at #2 doubles during the regular season prevailed once in singles and three times in doubles last weekend. He has posted a record of 31-20 in singles and doubles combined so far in 2025-26.

Senior George Ciuca was an All-MWC selection in singles for the third consecutive season. He went 5-1 in the top half of the singles lineup during Lake Forest's league matches, came out on top at #3 singles during Friday's victory over Grinnell, and added two more wins at that position during the MWC Individual Tournament on Saturday. Ciuca's 18-6 record in all singles matches this year is tied for the best on the team and his 70 singles wins over the last four years are the third-highest total in team history.

Forester junior Rodrigo Cunha earned All-MWC accolades in doubles during his first year at the College. He partnered with Moraes atop the lineup and went 5-1 against conference foes during the regular season before tacking on another win against Grinnell and two more in the MWC Individual Tournament. Cunha and Moraes have matched the school record with 17 victories as a #1 doubles team so far this year.

Lake Forest has now had four All-MWC honorees in each of the three seasons coaches have voted for that award.

The Foresters finished second in the 2026 MWC standings with a 5-1 league record before defeating Cornell College 4-0 and Grinnell College 4-3 during Friday's MWC Team Tournament. Those victories earned the team a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history.
