4/20/2026 9:19:00 PM

The Lake Forest College women's golf team tied for fifth place at the Benedictine Spring Invite on Monday. The tournament was played at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.

The Foresters were led by senior Sydney Foulon, who was tied-for-third out of 82 players overall with a 6-over 78. She had a pair of birdies on the front nine and posted a round in the 70s for the 10th time in her career.

Next on the team was freshman Eva Kennedy, who tied for 12th and was slightly better than her scoring average this year with an 85. Freshman Sophie Smith and senior Chelsea Sinclair also finished in the top half of the field with a 90 and 93, respectively.

A team from Aurora University won the event with a round of 319, which was 14 shots ahead of runner-up Judson University. Competing without most of their top players, the Foresters posted a score of 346, which was tied for fifth place with another lineup from Aurora.

The final tournament on Lake Forest's 2025-26 schedule is next Monday's Strawberry Creek Spring Invite, which will be hosted by Carthage College.
