The Lake Forest College women's golf team defeated Elmhurst College 316-343 in a dual match on Friday.
The event was played on the 5,620-yard par-72 course at Pine Meadow Golf Club in Mundelein, Illinois, and the Foresters' score was the eighth-lowest in program history.
Lake Forest sophomore
Amanda Adley finished atop the individual standings for the third consecutive event. After matching her previous career-best round with a 79 on April 7 and setting a new one with a 78 four days later, she lowered it by a stroke once again on Friday with a 5-over 77. She birdied the par-5 fourth and 13th holes, as well as the par-3 eighth.
At 79, Forester seniors
Sydney Foulon and
Alijah Campbell were tied for second place. Foulon played in the same threesome as Adley and matched her three birdies while Campbell led the field with a dozen pars. Fellow senior
Ashlyn Bhatia tied the top player from Elmhurst with an 81.
It as the final home event of the year for Lake Forest and Foulon, Campbell, and Bhatia were honored along with fellow seniors
Chelsea Sinclair and
Gabrielle Krebs during a brief Senior Day ceremony before the teams teed off.
The Foresters' next tournament will be Monday's Benedictine University Invite, which will be played at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.
