The Forester women's golf team finished third at the Hope Spring Invitational over the weekend.
After matching the best round of her career with a 79 to finish first in Tuesday's Judson Invitational, sophomore
Amanda Adley earned her second consecutive victory with a two-day total of 158 (+14). Her round of 80 on Friday featured an eagle on the 417-yard par-5 18th hole and Saturday's new career-best 78 included a birdie on the 125-yard par-3 ninth. Adley won the tournament by just one stroke.
Senior
Alijah Campbell was next on the team and eighth overall with a 172 and junior
Libby Hearst tied for 13th at 176.
The six-team event was won by Hope College with a two-day total of 674. Adrian College was six shots out of first and the same count ahead of the Foresters. There were 34 players in the tournament, which was played on the 5,629-yard par-72 course at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck, Michigan.
Lake Forest's next event will be a dual match against Elmhurst University at nearby Lake Bluff Golf Club next Saturday.
