The Lake Forest College women's golf team defeated Carroll University 346-372 in a dual match on Monday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The top player at the event by eight strokes was Forester sophomore
Libby Hearst with a 76 on the 5,552-yard, par-72 Arthur Hills Course at Palmetto Dunes Golf. Her round featured four birdies, including three in a row to close out the front nine with a 37.
Fellow sophomore
Amanda Adley was next in the 17-player field with an 84 and senior
Sydney Foulon was third at 87.Both players had a birdie on the day.
Freshman
Sophie Smith finished fifth with a score of 90 and senior
Ashlyn Bhatia was tied-for-sixth at 91. Senior
Alijah Campbell and freshman
Eva Kennedy were also in the top 10 at 92 and 99, respectively.
Lake Forest remained perfect in dual matches with a record of 21-0 since the program began in 2014.
The Foresters' next event will be the Judson Invitational on April 7.
