For the fourth straight season and eighth tim in the last decade, the Lake Forest College women's golf team finished first at the Marian Invite.
Sunday's opening round was played at Rolling Meadows and Monday's round two took place at Whispering Springs in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
The Foresters' final score of 644 was 29 shots better than runner-up Marian. Their 306 on Sunday was the best round in program history by five strokes and their final 36-hole tally of 644 ranks fifth in team annals.
Sophomore
Libby Hearst and senior
Gabrielle Krebs tied for second place in the 52-player field. Both players followed up a 3-over 75 on Sunday with an 84 (+12) in round two.
Just one shot behind Hearst and Krebs in the standings was senior
Alijah Campbell, whose 73 on Sunday was the best round of her collegiate career.
Freshman
Sophie Smith was ninth at 167 and senior
Ashlyn Bhatia 11th at 174. Sophomore
Amanda Adley competed as an individual at the event and tied for 15th place in the field with a total score of 177.
The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is Wednesday's Benedictine Fall Invite, which will be played at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.
