The Forester women's golf team finished in sixth place out of 22 teams at the Benedictine Fall Invite on Wednesday. The tournament was played at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.

Lake Forest was led by sophomore Libby Hearst, who tied for seventh out of 125 players overall with an 8-over 79. Her round featured a birdie on the 149-yard par-3 third hole.

There were two birdies on the scorecard of senior Sydney Foulon, who tied for 15th place with an 82. Classmate Ashlyn Bhatia matched Hearst's score on the third hole and finished tied-for-25th at 85. Freshman Eva Kennedy edged out senior Chelsea Sinclair for fourth on the team by a stroke, finishing with a score of 89.

Aurora University won the event with a final score of 309, which was 22 shots better than three teams tied for second. The Foresters' 335 was good for sixth place, just four behind the runners-up.

Lake Forest's next event will be the Midwest Region Fall Classic, which will be played at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin, September 19-20.
