Box Score The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was edged out 4-3 at Wheaton College on Wednesday.
The Thunder took the doubles point with victories at the top two spots in the lineup. Forester sophomore

Kyle Lassen prevailed 6-2 at #3 to avoid a sweep.
The top four singles matches began next and Lake Forest came out on top in the first two to finish. Freshman
Felipe Moraes took the first set 6-2 at #3 and sophomore
Bernardo Aguiar won his opening set 6-3 at #2. Both Foresters came out on top 7-5 in the second set to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.
Matches at #1 and #4 singles were split after two sets and Wheaton regained the lead by taking both third set super tiebreakers.
Needing victories at #5 and #6 singles to take the match, Lake Forest only got the first with Vazsonyi defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-3.Â
The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 4-8 while Wheaton improved to 5-6.
Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference play on Saturday when the team plays at Lawrence University at 9:00 a.m. and Ripon College on 3:00 in the afternoon.
