Competing for the first time in 2025, the Lake Forest College women's golf team placed third at the Judson Spring Invitational on Tuesday.
The tournament was held on the 5,755-yard, par-71 course at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois.
Junior
Gabrielle Krebs led the Foresters and tied for second in the 62-player field with a 12-over 83. Her round featured a birdie on the 497-yard, par-5 15th and she was just four shots over par on the final 12 holes.
After finishing her first fall at the College with the team's second-lowest scoring average, freshman
Libby Hearst was second on the squad again on Tuesday with an 87. That tied her for 13th place overall while juniors
Alijah Campbell and
Ashlyn Bhatia were tied for 20th with a 90 and 25th with a 95, respectively.
Elmhurst University won the nine-team event with a final score of 343, a dozen shots better than runner-up Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Foresters were 15 shots off the lead at 358.
The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is North Central College's Cardinal Classic next Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will be played at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
