The Lake Forest College women's golf team posted a two-day score of 642 to finish fourth out of 13 teams at Augustana College's Highland Championship on Sunday and Monday.
The Foresters' 320 on Sunday tied the program's second-lowest round while Monday's 322 now ranks fourth. The total score is just one stroke off the team's 36-hole record set during the first two rounds of the 2023 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships last October.
One school record that was tied was the individual two-round total of 150 originally posted by current junior
Gabrielle Krebs at least year's conference tournament. This Sunday she carded an even-par 72 and followed that up with a 6-over 78 in round two to finish second in the 71-player field. Krebs's opening round featured two birdies and two bogeys and matched her best score as a Forester and the second-lowest total in team history.
Lake Forest freshman
Amanda Adley was just a shot behind Krebs on day two and finished 17th overall at 162 in her collegiate debut. An 82 on Sunday and 81 on Monday placed junior
Alijah Campbell in 21st place while classmates
Sydney Foulon and
Ashlyn Bhatia tied for 25th with matching two-day totals of 168. Playing as an individual, freshman
Libby Hearst finished just one shot behind Campbell and Foulon.
Augustana won the event with a score of 621, 13 shots better than runner-up North Central College. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh was two shots ahead of the Foresters and third at 640.
Lake Forest will compete in the two-day Marian Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
