The Lake Forest College women's golf team won its second straight tournament on Friday, finishing first at the WLC (Wisconsin Lutheran College) Invitational.
The Foresters also boasted the individual winner of the event in junior
Ashlyn Bhatia, whose 77 matched the career-best round she posted just six days earlier. She recorded eagles on the par-5 fifth and par-4 17th holes and added two birdies on the day.
Fellow Lake Forest juniors
Sydney Foulon and
Alijah Campbell were next in the 28-player field at 79 and 80, respectively. They had nine pars apiece on the 5,621-yard, par-72 Dretzka Park Golf Course in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Foresters' next two finishers were freshmen
Libby Hearst and
Amanda Adley at 83 and 84, respectively. They placed among the top 10 in the tournament while junior
Gabrielle Krebs was tied-for-11th at 85.
Lake Forest's team score of 324 was a dozen shots better than runner-up Carroll University's total and ranks tied-for-seventh in program history.
The Foresters will return to Milwaukee on Saturday for the MSOE Invitational, which will be played at Brown Deer Park Golf Course.
