The Lake Forest College women's golf team defeated Benedictine University 329-485 in a dual match at Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Illinois, on Saturday.
Sophomore
Sydney Foulon was the top player at the event with a 79 on the 5,620-yard par-72 course. She posted a score of par or better on 12 of the final 14 holes.
The Foresters next three finishers were sophomores
Gabrielle Krebs,
Ashlyn Bhatia, and
Alijah Campbell. Krebs carded an 82, one shot better than Bhatia and three ahead of Campbell. All three players had a pair of birdies on the day.
Lake Forest's score of 329 tied the seventh-best round in school history and kept the team undefeated in 19 dual matches since the birth of the program in 2014.
Sunday's dual match against Milwaukee School of Engineering has been postponed due to weather and course conditions. The Foresters' next competition will be Judson Invitational on Tuesday, April 16.
