The Lake Forest College women's golf team finished the 2023-24 season at Carthage College's Firebird Invite on Monday and placed third out of eight full teams.
Sophomores
Gabrielle Krebs and
Alijah Campbell led the Foresters are tied for 10th out of 46 players overall with matching scores of 88. Campbell's round included a birdie on the 449-yard, par-5 14th hole.
Fellow sophomores
Sydney Foulon and
Ashlyn Bhatia were next on the team at 89 and 94, respectively, while junior
Emma Ackland came in at 100. Forester senior
Christina Hartley competed as an individual in the event and closed out her career with a 118 that featured a birdie on the 246-yard, par-4 17th hole.
Lake Forest's team score of 358 was just eight shots behind runner-up University of Wisconsin-Platteville while Aurora University finished first at 331.
The Foresters finished the season with the best scoring average in program history at 337.8 while Krebs posted the second-best individual mark in team annals at 81.93.
