Lake Forest College finished first at the Judson Invitational on Tuesday while a second Forester squad was eighth at the 14-team event.
The tournament was played on the 5,755-yard, par-71 course at Randall Oaks Golf Club in Dundee, Illinois.
The Foresters' top team posted a score of 348, six strokes better than runner-up Elmhurst University. Judson and Carthage College tied for third at 358. Lake Forest's other group was at 392.
The top individual for the Foresters, who fielded a team of five sophomores, was
Alijah Campbell with an 85. She had two birdies in her round and tied for third place out of 72 players overall.
Niki Datangel was next on the team and tied-for-seventh in the field at 87 while
Gabrielle Krebs,
Sydney Foulon, and
Ashlyn Bhatia turned in matching scores of 88, tying for 11th.
Senior
Christina Hartley led Lake Forest's second team with a 94.
The Foresters will be back in action this weekend at the UWW Spring Invite. Hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the tournament will be played at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.
