The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Beloit College in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday.

The game's only goal was scored with just 3:33 remaining.

Beloit had a slight 13-11 edge in shots in the contest. Nine of the Buccaneers 10 shots on goal were saved by Forester senior goalkeeper Maggie Kersting, who finished the season with an .844 save percentage and 0.73 goals against average. Her .824 save percentage over the last five years is the second-best career mark in program history.

The Foresters completed the season with an overall record of 11-5-3. They surrendered just 15 goals in 19 games for the third-lowest average in team annals (0.79).
