The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 5-0 at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Rose-Hulman started the scoring just 99 seconds into the contest and doubled its lead at the 3:19 mark. Another score at 19:42 gave the home team a 3-0 lead it took into halftime.

Additional goals in the 62nd and 70th minutes closed out the scoring for the Fightin Engineers, who out-shot the Foresters 11-7 in the contest.

Lake Forest will continue its season-opening trip to Indiana at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Saturday afternoon at 1:00 (ET).
