A pair of school records fell in the Lake Forest College women's soccer team's 4-1 victory over visiting Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday. It was the team's 11th consecutive win, one more than the previous mark set in 1996, and junior Michelle Greeneway became the program's all-time leader with 56 career goals.

Greeneway entered the game tied with Melissa Stevenson (2002-05) for first place in team history with 54 career goals and broke that tie just 10 minutes and 45 seconds into the contest. Junior Sam Hillis sent the ball into the box from the left sideline and Greeneway, after it got away from the Raider goalkeeper, kicked it in to give the Foresters the lead.

The score remained 1-0 until the final minute of the first half. A free kick from midfield by sophomore Amy Sherman sailed over the M.S.O.E. defense, bounced once, and was headed over the goalie and into the goal by Greeneway. Her 15th score of the season was also her sixth game-winner of the year, tying her for the national lead. It was Sherman's first career assist.

The visitors finally got on the scoreboard at the 59:06 mark but Lake Forest regained its two-goal advantage just two minutes later. A corner kick from the left side by Hillis carried over everyone in front of the goal except for 5'1" Holly Lesperance, who headed it in just inside of the far post. Lesperance, a junior, now has seven goals on the year and is tied for seventh in program history with 33 career scores and 10th with 82 points.

Hillis recorded her career-high third assist of the game with 10:28 to play. Her give-and-go with junior Ellen Rogers led her to the left corner and she crossed the ball over the defense to freshman Kayla Wuest, who kicked it in for her fourth goal of the year. Hillis now has eight assists on the season, which ranks her among the top 10 in the nation, and her 22 career assists rank her eighth in team history.

Forester sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta made six saves in the first half and season-high eight in the game. She is now just two saves shy of 100 for her career.

Lake Forest, which is ranked 20th in the nation in this week's D3soccer.com poll, is now 11-0-0 on the year. Milwaukee School of Engineering fell to 5-4-1.

The Foresters will put their 3-0-0 Midwest Conference mark on the line at home this weekend against Grinnell College on Saturday and Cornell College on Sunday. Both games will begin at 1:30 p.m.
