Box Score The Forester women's soccer team defeated host Eureka College 7-0 Saturday afternoon in non-conference play. Lake Forest junior Hailey Schleibinger scored a pair of goals less than five minutes apart in the second half.
Forester sophomore Lauren Morford started the scoring 20 minutes and 30 seconds into the contest. Freshman Cassie Wojick assisted on Morford's first goal of the season. Morford then assisted on freshman Emily Keast's first career goal at 32:47. Sophomore Courtenay Raymond tied for the team lead with her third goal of the year just 20 seconds later and senior Isabel Brown closed out the first half scoring with her first of the season at 41:27.
Lake Forest attempted 31 shots and put 25 of them on goal in the opening period. The Foresters scored on three of 10 shots on goal in the second half.
Freshman Charlotte deTar netted her first career goal at 51:33 and Wojick assisted Schleibinger just two minutes later. Schleibinger added her second score of the game and season at 58:12 with Raymond picking up the assist and raising her team-high point total on the season to nine.
Sophomore goalkeeper Maeve Connelly recorded the shutout in her first career start.
Lake Forest is now 4-1-0 on the season while the Red Devils remain winless in five contests.
The Foresters will be back in action tomorrow when they host Carthage College at 1:00 p.m.
