The Lake Forest College women's soccer team won 5-1 at Alverno
College Tuesday evening. The Foresters are now 3-0-0 on the season
and sophomore Lisa
Sorensen has either scored or assisted on the team's first
three goals in each contest.
Sorensen started the scoring on Tuesday just two minutes and 28
seconds into the game. She was assisted by fellow sophomore forward
Becky
Esrock, who scored for the second time this season with
Sorensen earning the assist at 15:02. Esrock and junior Erica May then
assisted on Sorensen's fifth goal of the year just 52 seconds
later.
Senior Molly Shaw's
first goal of the season made the score 4-0 at the 29:58 mark.
Freshman Courtenay
Raymond closed out the visitors' scoring with her second goal
of the year at 37:49. Sophomore Hailey
Schleibinger earned the assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper Bri
Schleibinger blanked the Inferno fort the first half. She is
3-0-0 on the year and has not surrendered a goal in 180 minutes of
play.
Lake Forest finally allowed its first goal of the season on a
penalty kick with 11:02 remaining in the game.
The Foresters will be in action again on Thursday when they host
Milwaukee School of Engineering at 4:30 p.m.
