9/22/2026 1:40:00 PM

Volleyball player Alivia Barker and golfer Jack Lee were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Barker helped her team prevail in three of four contests last week. In Wednesday's home opener she recorded eight kills and a .500 hitting percentage as Lake Forest defeated Concordia University Chicago in three sets. The freshman right-side hitter then set season-highs with 17 kills and five blocks in Friday night's four-set loss to Illinois Institute of Technology that kicked off the Forester Invitational. The home team swept Alverno College and Eureka College at the same event on Saturday with Barker tallying 18 kills six digs, two blocks, and two aces in the two matches combined.

Barker hit at least .240 in all four matches and .293 on the week. Her 43 kills during that span ranked second on the squad while her eight blocks tied for the team lead. She also had 11 digs and served up three aces.

Lee was the Foresters' top player and tied for fifth among NCAA Division III players at the Minnesota Golf Classic with a three-round score of 215 (-1) on Sunday and Monday. After carding a 2-over 74 in Sunday's first round, the sophomore was two shots under par during his second trip around the course that day and added a 1-under 71 on Monday. He played each of his 41 holes of the tournament in par or better and led the field with 46 pars overall.

Lee's final tally matched the fourth-lowest 54-hole total in school history and dropped his scoring average after 10 rounds this season to 72.70, which is slightly better than the program record. His career mark of 74.58 ranks second in team annals.

This is the first career Forester Athlete of the Week award for both individuals.
