The Forester men's golf team played three rounds in two days and finished fourth out of 15th teams at the Minnesota Golf Classic, which was completed on Monday.

The teams played every hole twice at Pioneer Creek Golf Course on Sunday and the Foresters' 8-under 280 in round two was the second-lowest 18-hole total in program history. Their 578 after two rounds ranks fifth in team annals and their final score of 877 is third.

Tournament host Bethel University won the event at 862 while runner-up University of Wisconsin-Stout was the runner-up just two shots back. Third-place St. John's University was just one shot better than Lake Forest.

The Foresters' best individual 18-hole score of the tournament came from Tyler Schick, whose 4-under 68 in round two ranked tied-for-third in school history. His 73 in round one also led the team and he finished the tournament tied for 22nd place with an even-par 216. Just two players in a field of 108 were better than Schick on the par-4s, where he finished seven shots under par.

Jack Lee was actually a shot better than Schick for the weekend and tied-for-18th overall. His three-round tally of 215 (74-72-71) ranks tied-for-fourth in program history and he did not record a bogey in his final 41 holes of the tournament. Lee's 46 pars were easily the most of any player at the event.

With rounds of 74, 70, and 75, Forester Tyler Wengronowitz tied for 33rd place. Lake Forest's four-man score also included Nate Choi's 77 and 72 on Sunday and Tyler Poker's 78 on Monday.

The Foresters will send a B Team to the Midwest Region Classic on Friday and Saturday and the top players on the squad will close out the fall season at The Grand Intercollegiate in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, October 4-5.
