The Lake Forest College men's golf team finished seventh at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational on Sunday and Monday.

Tyler Wengronowitz led the Foresters and was the individual runner-up with a two-day score of 142. He played the 6,855-yard par-71 course at Eau Claire Country Club in even par on Sunday and was 1-under with another 71 at Wild Ridge Golf Course on Monday. He birdied five of the tournament's seven par-5s and was over par on just five holes at the event. Wengronowitz's 36-hole score matched the eighth-best mark in program history and he now owns seven of the top 13 entries on that list.

Two more Foresters finished in the top half of the 124-golfer field. Nate Choi was second on the team and tied-for-35th overall at 153 while Jack Lee was just a shot back and tied-for-40th. Lee and Tyler Schick carding matching 5-over 76s in round one and Choi turned in a 3-over 75 in round two. Schick was 9-over on Monday to finish tied-for-64th.

Eau Claire won the tournament with a two-day score of 584 and the University of Dubuque was second at 593. Lake Forest's tally of 606 was just a stroke behind Bethel University and the University of Wisconsin-Stout in fifth place. There were 22 teams competing at the event.

The Foresters have now finished ahead of 62 percent of opponents in three tournaments this fall.

The team's next event is the three-round Minnesota Golf Classic, which will be played on Sunday and Monday.
