The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the list of collegiate and high school volleyball teams receiving the AVCA Team Academic Award for 2025-26 and the Foresters were among the honorees.

Lake Forest was one of 803 collegiate women's teams and 1,432 overall to earn the award, which honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs." 

Coached by Melanie Hughes, Lake Forest has achieved AVCA Team Academic Award status in back-to-back seasons. The Foresters also earned the honor in 2022 and 2020.
