The Intercollegiate Tennis Association updated its rankings on Wednesday and the Forester men dropped three spots to 45th on the Division III national list, which included the top 75 teams in the country.

Lake Forest fell 5-2 at Grinnell College, the 19th-ranked team in the country, before prevailing 7-0 at Cornell College on Saturday. Players on the team own a .693 winning percentage in singles and .675 mark in doubles so far this year.

Saturday's loss at Grinnell snapped the Foresters' nine-match winning streak and the team is now 14-6 on the year. Five of the six losses were to teams currently above them in the ITA rankings and the sixth was to #62 University of Rochester. Among Lake Forest's victories are a 5-2 triumph over #26 Oberlin and 7-0 sweeps of #63 Hope College and #74 Illinois Institute of Technology.

This Friday the Foresters will compete in the four-team MWC Tournament, which will take place in Madison, Wisconsin. Their semifinal match will be against Cornell with the winner advancing to the final against either Grinnell or Illinois College.
