Lake Forest College men's soccer player
Sam Satisky was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday.
The Foresters posted a 4-0 shutout at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Monday and Satisky, a sophomore defender, helped limit the Warriors to just three shot attempts in the contest. He also scored one of the visitors' goals on a penalty kick in the 68th minute.
Satisky played all 90 minutes on Friday as Lake Forest edged out visiting Illinois Institute of Technology, the 23rd-ranked team in the nation, 1-0. The Scarlet Hawks managed just nine shots, including two on goal, and were shut out for the first time this year.
Satisky's three goals this season are tied for the second-highest total on the team and he now has 13 points on six goals and an assist in his career.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors.
