Francis Goal Lifts Foresters Past Illinois Wesleyan

The Lake Forest men's soccer team stayed unbeaten with a 1–0 road win at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday night, improving to 7–0 on the season.

Junior Ollie Francis delivered the difference-maker in the 34th minute, finishing off a pass from freshman Chad Endozo to give the Foresters the lead.

Lake Forest kept the pressure on throughout, outshooting the Titans 11–8 with five shots on target. Junior Peter Cirbo led the way with three attempts, while senior Christian Karabetsos, sophomore Kotaro Koumi, and junior Nathan Kostovetsky all contributed to the attack.

Defensively, the Foresters stood tall in a physical match that featured 17 fouls and four yellow cards. Junior Andrew Swatcha and freshman Marceli Okonski split time in net and combined for four saves to secure the clean sheet.

With the victory, the Foresters move to 7–0 and continue their best start in recent years. The team will return home for a non-conference matchup against Carroll University on Mohr Field this Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
