College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams on Tuesday and a pair of Foresters made the list.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They also need to be in the lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
Lake Forest's honorees were fifth-year
Margaret Bugnacki and sophomore
Kate Feist, who were 12-5 while spending much of the season as partners at #2 doubles. They were also the runners-up at that position at the 2024 Midwest Conference Individual Tournament.
In the fall Bugnacki was named All-MWC in singles and doubles for the second straight season. She went 37-15 in the two formats combined in 2024-25 and finished as the program's all-time leader with 79 career singles victories while ranking third in overall wins (150) and tied-for-fifth in doubles triumphs (71). Bugnacki captained the team for the third year in a row and was named the Foresters' Most Valuable Player for the third time in the last four seasons. The business major is now a three-time CSC Academic All-District® honoree.
In addition to reaching the MWC Individual Tournament finals at #2 doubles with Bugnacki, Feist was also the league's runner-up at #4 singles last fall. The neuroscience major finished the 2024-25 season with a 27-21 record in singles and doubles combined and is now 63-34 overall in her career.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 3.
