5/13/2025 11:37:00 AM

College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams on Tuesday and three Lake Forest College players were recognized.

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They also need to be in the lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

Among the players on the list were Forester senior Daniel Tulchinskiy, junior George Ciuca, and sophomore Bernardo Aguiar.

Tulchinskiy has now earned the honor in three consecutive seasons. The double-major in biology and neuroscience posted a 24-23 record in singles and doubles combined in 2024-25 and finished his four years at the College ranked second in program history with 68 career doubles victories and seventh with 105 wins overall. He earned runner-up status at #1 doubles and #5 singles at the Midwest Conference Individual Tournament and was named All-MWC in doubles after the season.

Ciuca is now a two-time Academic All-District® honoree. The economics and data science major was an All-MWC led Lake Forest this season with 16 doubles wins and ranked second with 15 victories and 31 triumphs overall. He reached the MWC Individual Tournament finals at #1 singles and #2 doubles and was named All-MWC in both formats. After just three seasons he ranks 10th in team history with 46 doubles victories and is just outside the top 10 with 98 wins overall.

Aguiar and Ciuca have teamed up in doubles each of the last two seasons and their 32 career victories together are the program's third-highest total by a doubles team. The economics major went 14-11 in doubles and 13-11 in singles this year, finished second at #2 singles and #2 doubles at the 2-25 MWC Individual Tournament, and earned All-MWC honors in both formats for the second time in as many seasons.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 4.
