The Midwest Conference Announced the 2025 All-MWC Men's Tennis Teams on Wednesday and Lake Forest College had four honorees.
Junior
George Ciuca was named All-MWC in singles and doubles after a selection in singles only a season ago. In singles he played primarily at the top spot in the lineup and won five of six conference matches during the regular season. He also posted a perfect 6-0 regular season record against league foes at #2 doubles. Ciuca earned runner-up status at #1 singles and #2 doubles at the MWC Individual Tournament last weekend. He was 31-21 in singles and doubles combined this spring and raised his career victory total to 98.
For the second year in a row sophomore
Bernardo Aguiar is an All-MWC selection in both singles and doubles. He was 3-1 at #2 singles and, with Ciuca as his partner, 4-0 at #2 doubles against conference opponents during the regular season. He also placed second at both spots in last weekend's MWC Individual Tournament. Aguiar is now 61-42 in singles and doubles combined in his collegiate career.
Freshman
Felipe Moraes joined Ciuca and Aguiar with All-MWC distinction in singles and doubles and was also named MWC Newcomer of the Year. He won all six of his MWC singles matches during the regular season, including one atop the lineup, and went 5-1 at #1 doubles. Moraes also finished second at #3 singles and #1 doubles at the MWC Individual Tournament. He led the 2024-25 Foresters with 19 singles wins a 33 victories overall.
Senior
Daniel Tulchinskiy was named All-MWC in doubles for the second year in a row. He and Moraes were 5-1 in regular season league contests and the runners-up at that position at the MWC Individual Tournament. Tulchinskiy's 68 career doubles victories are the second-highest total in program history and he currently ranks ninth in team annals with 105 wins overall.
Lake Forest finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 10-10 and a conference mark of 5-1. They also reached the MWC Tournament Final for the fifth year in a row.
